Chef/Owner Kristen Flores-Fratto focuses on simple natural ingredients, and uses her Mediterranean background to bring authentic old world flavors to local cuisine. Her long stints as Executive Chef at Pomodoro and Brio encouraged her love for those flavors, and at The Gate House, she and her husband/partner bring them to you in popular American dishes.
The menu includes gourmet burgers, wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, wood-fired wings, a gourmet garbage plate, homemade desserts and fresh salads – regional food at its best! Some of Kristen’s specialties are “The Wease” Burger, with smoked mozzarella, fried onions, and horseradish steak sauce, the “Park Ave” Pizza, with olive oil, hummus, rosemary, goat cheese and grilled vegetables, Mini-Burgers and Garlic Rosemary Fries with meat hot sauce, fried onions and cheddar.
Update: Our new restaurant Espada, a Brazilian steakhouse, has taken Kristen’s attention away from her kitchen duties, and a new Chef has stepped in at The Gate House. We welcome Chef Ross Hopkins as the new leader of our culinary team, and when Kristen passed him the torch, he ran away with it! We’re happy to add Ross’s creative flair to our daily specials, and he has kept the flavors of the Gate House consistent with our vision for this restaurant, and continues to work hard to uphold that vision.
